                                                          Silas scratch Silas Scratch  is a character who appears in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School as the main hostile. .  He was assumed to be a crazy farmer, until Frank reveals to Greg that  Silas Scratch   is a hoax he made in order to keep people out of a bathroom with electricity. Everybody talked about Silas scratch when they went to Habscrabble farm.                                       My opinions In my opinion  the diary  ''old school''  was very interesting to read. My favourite character from the diary ''old school'' was '' Rodrick''  because he was relaxed in all situations and he was very funny in this book.            Greg Heffley's parents , Susan Heffley and Frank Heffley                   Susan Heffley Susan Heffley is the mother of Greg.  She is a rather loving and caring mother, but she  sometimes embarrasses Greg and Rodrick. The most she cares about is Manny so Manny is always in the protection of  his mom.                                                                                            Frank Heffley Frank Heffley is the father of Greg. He is a little bit strict in my opinion but he is also a caring father.  He always wants his kids to be strong and well rounded. He is a father who has a good heart and he always care Greg. He tries to solve all the difficulties that his  children are having.

                                Greg Heffley's siblings , "Rodrick" and "Manny" Rodrick Heffley   Rodrick Heffley is Greg Heffleys elder brother. Rodrick is extremely lazy and careless when it comes    to school, which explains where Greg gets his  laziness  .Rodrick Heffley is a really cool guy. Rodrick  is the lead drummer of a band called “Löded Diper”. There is a diary " Rodrick rules "  in which almost every page is about Rodrick.                                                                                                                   Manny Heffley   Manny Heffley  is a selfish and spoiled kindergartner . Manny's mother never scold him instead she scolds Greg and Rodrick. Manny is never ashamed of himself and always annoys his brothers .

In the phrase "the diary of a wimpy kid", the "wimpy kid" is actually Greg Heffley. Greg has two siblings, one his elder brother "Rodrick" and one his younger brother "Manny". In the diary "old school" Greg compares the old life with the life he is living in.
